Creme de marrons / Chestnut cream
This is a simple sweet chestnut spread for toast, crepes, waffles, etc...
- 400 g chestnuts already cooked in a box or jar or sous-vide or by yourself fresh or frozen.
- 260 g granulated sugar
- 25 cl water
- Dissolve the sugar into the water. Mash the (already cooked) chestnuts.
- In a saucepan, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat (simmering) for about 15 min.
- Mix it all together with a hand mixer or in a blender.Et voilà!
If you want to keep it longer, it is ideal for canning in jars.
